Step 1:

Ensure your trail sack, officially called a dry bag, is 20-35 Liters in size.

Step 5:

Purchase or borrow some gear, use the CV Clothing and Equipment List as a checklist, pack it (keeping in mind to separate In-Camp Gear and Trail Gear), check it twice, and head north!
