Transportation

Ely is two hours north of Duluth and four and a half hours from Minneapolis/St. Paul. Many families drive their campers to Voyageur. Other campers fly to Duluth, MN. We provide a round-trip Duluth shuttle for $50. Our travel agent will help schedule your flight. If you drive to camp plan to arrive on Sunday after lunch of the first day of the session. Pick up your camper on Saturday after breakfast on the last day of the session.

Flying to Camp

Good news for those of you who are flying to camp this summer. We've again secured a "group discount" deal with Northwest Airlines. The earlier you book the more money you will save. Driving Directions to Camp
1.	From Duluth take Highway 53 north around Virginia, MN
2.	Just north of Virginia, MN turn right onto Hwy 169 N. to Ely
3.	Follow 169 through Ely, past the International Wolf Center
4.	Less than a mile past the International Wolf Center turn right on the Kawishiwi Trail (Lake County 16, St. Louis County 58) towards White Iron and Farm Lakes.
5.	Continue on the Kawishiwi Trail for approximately 3 miles.
6.	Approximately three-tenths of a mile after you cross the concrete bridge at Silver Rapids turn left on Voyageur Road.
7.	Stay on the main gravel road for approximately 1.25 miles to camp.
8.	Park by the large sign above the mess hall.
