Wilderness Trips for Girls

Camp Voyageur has been offering girls wilderness trip options since the '60's. We are thrilled to offer the same quality and traditional canoe and hiking trips to girls that we offer boys. Most girls come back year after year to see their camp friends and to spend a week exploring new canoe and hiking routes.

We spend the time in camp packing, planning, and teaching the skills needed before trips hit the trail. Though the time in camp is limited girls partake in all the traditional Camp Voyageur activities.

In recent years girls have traveled remote canoe routes of the Boundary Waters and Canada's Quetico Provincial Park and hiked the rugged trails of the Superior Hiking Trail and Isle Royale National Park.

A $50 discount is available to those who register before November 1st.

Trip Schedule:

• Day One: Arrive at camp by Noon
  Tour of facilities, settle into your cabin and begin learn camping and canoeing skills (paddling strokes, portaging techniques, fire building, putting tents up etc...)
• Day Two: Continue skills training and final pack out for the trip. (All personal gear will be packed the night before leaving for the trip.)
• Day Three: Breakfast at 8:00
  Last minute preparations and depart by 9:30.
• Day Three to Nine: Canoe trip
• Day Nine: Return to CV by mid afternoon, sauna and dinner at camp 5:30.
• Day Ten: Breakfast at 8:00
  Depart CV by Noon.
